What to make for dinner???

As many of you know, Ernie is a young strappin boy who works very hard long hours and therefore is a great audience for my amazing(cough - lie) cooking!! But I have run out of quick and easy and simple and delicious ideas. Pioneer woman is great when I want to try something new. But my boy is a meat and potatoes boy. And let's face it the cost of groceries is ever increasing! So give me your good quick dinner solutions!

Last night I tried the Pampered Chef chicken and broccoli wreath - it was not bad - I could not figure out how to make the braid - I just improvised. We ate a lot of it!

I do steaks on the generic George Foreman a lot. He likes the sweet potatoes in a can with brown sugar and butter. The only thing I do with any consistency in the crock pot is chili.

Give me your ideas for quick dinners!!

I can't give you any quick recipes off the top of my head, but I use www.allrecipes.com all the time and highly recommend it.

One of my favorite dinners is made in the crock pot. I put in four frozen boneless chicken breast, a can of Rotel, a can of mushrooms, a package or onion soup mix and a can of cream of mushroom soup. Let it cook and it makes a wonderful spicy gravy that you can serve over rice. I'll think of some others and send them to you because I am all about quick and easy.

For the life of me, I cant remember how I found your blog. I 'blog-hop' sometimes and get lost!

My favorite easy dinner is a simple turkey sandwhich and bowl of tomatoe/avocado salad. Yummy.

I never cook but I am commenting to say that I love when you mention me on your blog! What a rush to get verified on a blog. I know exactly what you mean about getting the recognition. I Have to get one of these things. Glad you enjoyed scrapping with us for your birthday. We are like the "A" personality club. A loud and crazy group. Can't wait to do it again!

You need to get acquainted with your crock pot - it makes everything seem like a quick dinner cause it has been cooking all day and is ready quick when you get home.

I go to allrecipes.com too, and it's FAB! Tonight, I tried a recipe from this month's Southern Living mag: 1 pkg. frozen ravioli, 1/4 cup vegetable broth, 1 pkg fresh spinach (washed & dried), 1 jar of alfredo sauce, 1/e cup refrigerated jar of pesto)...Do not thaw ravioli! Preheat oven to 375 deg; chop spinach & toss w/pesto in medium bowl; spoon 1/3alfredo sauce & broth into a lightly greased 11 x 7 casserole dish; top w/half of spinach mixture; arrange 1/w ravioli in a single layer over spinach mixture; repeat. top w/remaining alfredo sauce. Bake for 30 mins. Remove & sprinkle w/shredded Italian cheese if desired. Bake 5 more minutes until hot & bubbly. Enjoy! -we sure did! MMMM.....Oh! another favorite is King Ranch chicken casserole! YUMMY!!!! and you can feed an army w/it if you wanted to! It's easy, it's delicious, but it takes some prep. It's definitely a weekend dish, when you have time to make it. If you want that recipe, let me know! Love that you're updating your blog regularly! I haven't been to mine in months, but I'll let you know when I get back to that! Love & miss ya! Glo
